Visual Art Institute’s adult figure academy is an intensive one-week figure workshop experience for adult students and art teachers. Students will study figure drawing in the morning and figure painting in the afternoon. Daily in-depth critiques help students engage in each other’s work and give students personal direction for successive studies.
Students will develop new sills and strong artwork for their portfolios. Visual Art Institute is unique in our ability to prepare you with the proper art portfolio for educator certification. Our instructors are professional artists that regularly teach at area colleges and universities. Regardless of the field students intend to enter, learning to draw and paint from the figure in sustained sessions will be a tremendous asset. This program is unique to Visual Art Institute and students that participate are better prepared to make their mark in the art world.
