Participants must be 10 years to 18 years old when the program starts.
In this studio course students will explore digital art production using Procreate on the iPad.
Students will explore traditional drawing and painting methods in a variety of formats and discover how to apply them using the creative array of simulated tools in procreate. Students will experiment with creating digital art for a variety of applications used in the visual arts including fan art, cartooning, gifs, greeting cards, and children’s books.

Taught by Mike Costa a local artist and the author and illustrator of the
Award-winning children's picture book, Animals Are Everywhere, this camp is designed to help your teen learn how to use the Procreate application on iPad while building observation and problem-solving skills, develop critical thinking. and discover each teen’s artistic style and creativity.This is also a great opportunity for your teen to socialize and make new friends and connections with other creative and artistic teens in the area.
Note: Teens are encouraged to bring their own devices, but iPads are provided for use during class for those who do not own one.
*VAI Cancellation, Transfers and Refund Policies:
VAI requires a minimum of 6 participants to run a camp. If we are unable to reach the minimum number of participants two weeks prior to the 1st day of camp, VAI staff will contact you about transferring to another camp at no additional charge.
Camp transfers must be completed one week before the start of a camp. If you are unable to attend a camp you registered for and wish to transfer to a different camp, please contact VAI so that we can process that transfer.
All refund requests must be made two weeks prior to the 1st day of camp.
