Ceramics III: Advanced

Shaping like a boss!

This intermediate to advanced class is recommended for students who have already taken a few or more ceramics classes and who have an applicable understanding of approaches in wheel throwing and/ or hand-building, and glazing. The instructor will work with students by following an adaptive schedule of demonstrations and discussions. Peer-to-peer support is highly encouraged along with exploration and risk-taking. Additional instruction will be woven into lessons to build knowledge in the areas of surface treatments, function, design, and expression.  Some projects will vary from one 12-week session to the next allowing for students to return with their friends and build on their abilities while exploring new ideas.

MATERIALS LIST:

 The materials fee is $45 and will be added on at payment. Students do not need to purchase any other materials and all tools are provided. Any additional bags of clay requested throughout the session will also cost $45. This fee covers not just clay but glazes, firings, waxes, and more.
