Does your child love cartoons and animation, comics or anime? Whether it's learning to draw their favorite popular animated character or create their own imaginative creatures, there's something for all young cartoon lovers in this course In this class under the direction of local artist Mike Costa, author and illustrator of the award-winning children's book Animals are Everywhere, students will be guided in a study of cartooning through freehand drawing and rendering. composition and expression using line, light, and color. Students will also review thematic elements in cartooning, character development, stylizations, and exploring cartoons as they have evolved through history, This class is designed to help your child build observation and problem-solving skills develop critical thinking, and discover his or her artistic style and creativity All Children's Art supplies are provided with enrollment.

*VAI Cancellation, Transfers and Refund Policies:
VAI requires a minimum of 6 participants to run a camp. If we are unable to reach the minimum number of participants two weeks prior to the 1st day of camp, VAI staff will contact you about transferring to another camp at no additional charge.
Camp transfers must be completed one week before the start of a camp. If you are unable to attend a camp you registered for and wish to transfer to a different camp, please contact VAI so that we can process that transfer.
All refund requests must be made two weeks prior to the 1st day of camp.
