Description

Take a deep dive into the exciting world of marine art and sign your child up for the aquarium summer art camp for children ages 8-12! One of the best ways to learn about the natural world around us is through observation and recording what we see through art and writing. This class is taught by local artist Mike Costa. Mike is a fellow nature lover and the author and illustrator of the award-winning children's picture book, Animals Are Everywhere.

This camp is designed to help your child build observation and problem-solving skills develop critical thinking, and discover his or her artistic style and creativity. At the aquarium, students will make exciting underwater observations and discover new details about ocean plant and animal life like never before It is also a great opportunity to socialize, make new friends and connections in a fun creative environment For the first two days, we will be on location at the aquarium, discussing. drawing. photographing and recording our live observations. Then we will head back to the studio for the last three days, and using our new observations and references, create some of mediums an amazing Art supplies and children's admission to the museum is provided with enrollment.
