Color and Composition is a course focused on color mixing, color schemes, and how to design a compelling work of art. We will be focusing on small projects (often 1-2 per night) that explore a specific concept). Because this class is focused more on concepts than an actual medium, you are welcome to use any medium that you are comfortable with in this class, or a combination of several different media. Some possible options include: colored pencil, watercolor, marker, acrylic paint, artist crayon, pastel, etc. I will demonstrate with a variety of different materials, but projects can be completed with any media.
Please bring the following to your first class:
Graphite drawing pencils
A dark pen/fine tip marker
Sketchbook
Any colorful media (a small set is fine, be sure that you have primary and secondary colors… red, yellow, blue, orange, green, violet and also a black and white)
We will discuss supply options and supplies for future classes on your first night of class
