Daytime = clay time!
This beginning to intermediate class is designed for adult students seeking an afternoon time slot. The instructor works with students by following an adaptive schedule of demonstrations for pure beginners to more experienced clay artists. Peer-to-peer support is highly encouraged along with comfort in working independently as projects may vary greatly. Instruction will be woven into lessons to build knowledge in the areas of throwing, hand-building, surface treatments, function, design, and expression. Some projects will vary from one 12-week session to the next allowing for students to return with their friends and build on their abilities while exploring new ideas.
Class Description notes: “The materials fee is $45 and will be added on at payment. Any additional bags of clay will also cost $45. This fee covers not just clay but glazes, firings, waxes, and more. If you have questions about the ceramics facility and/ or classes or if you would like to donate a bag of clay for community outreach classes, you can send an email to: [email protected] “
