Friday Throwdown! Hand-building Lanterns

Instructor: Shelbie Colton

Friday equals clay-day!

In this 10-part series, students of any skill level are invited to participate in one or more 3-hour, instructor lead classes covering the foundations of working with clay. Themed projects will vary from week to week and may be wheel or hand-building based. Students may enroll in one themed class at a time or may enroll in multiple individual classes.Any students holding VAI flex passes may participate if there is space available.

Join us for the fifth of 10 drop-in sessions in ceramics. This instructor lead class will cover how to make hand-built clay lanterns for candles.  Participants can expect to make 1 lantern which they can choose a glaze for so staff may finish the objects for them. This is a great class for those wanting to try their hand in making clay objects or rediscover a past passion for clay.  Finished objects can be picked up 2-3 weeks after the class.
