Tactile and 3-Dimensional Ceramic Art.
The perfect opportunity for fun and experiential learning with stoneware clay. In this class, kids will learn to think spatially while creating with a 3-Dimensional medium. Traditional hand-building techniques such as pinching, coiling, and slab will be taught to aid in making a range of functional and sculptural projects. Projects vary from one 12-week session to the next, allowing for students to return with their friends and build on their abilities while exploring new ideas.
Class is held at our SOUTH SALT LAKE location in our stunning ceramics studio.
Instructor: Danielle Weigandt
Materials: The materials fee is $15 for youth clay classes and will be added on at payment. This fee covers not just clay, but glazes, firings, and more. Families are not required to purchase any other materials for this class. If you have questions about the ceramics facility and/or classes or if you would like to donate a bag of clay for community outreach classes, you can send an email to: [email protected].
