Color and Composition is a course focused on color mixing, color schemes, and how to design a compelling work of art. We will be focusing on small projects (often 1-2 per night) that explore a specific concept).
Planning your painting leads to success. Having a color scheme and a structured composition will empower your painting. Increasing your understanding of color schemes and how to organize your painting will give you greater independence.
Please bring the following to your first class:
Graphite drawing pencils
A dark pen/fine tip marker
Sketchbook
Any colorful oil paints (a small set is fine, be sure that you have primary and secondary colors… red, yellow, blue, orange, green, violet and also a black and white)
We will discuss supply options and supplies for future classes on your first night of class
Class is held at HIGHLAND COMMUNITY CENTER.
Instructor: Bruce Robertson
