Unlock your creativity this fall with our exciting art class focused on drawing and cartooning principles! Designed for youth ages 8-14. Our 4-month program will ignite imagination and teach the essential skills to draw cartoon characters. You will learn to simplify complex images into basic shapes. Explore the basics of perspective and add depth to drawings. Discover the art of storytelling through comics and create your own comic strip. Develop your own unique style and learn from a world of examples. Jump into Character Cartooning today! Supply Lists: Labeled Zipper pouch or Ziplock bag for items 1 set of pencils (HB, 4B, 6B, 4H, 6H) 1 charcoal pencil 1 set of colored pencils Sketchbook with thicker paper Class is held at the HIGHLAND COMMUNITY CENTER. Instructor: Becca Caswell Minimum Enrollments and Refunds: We need a minimum of 5 participants to be able to provide the class. If we don't reach our minimum enrollment, we may need to cancel the class. The best way to ensure your class goes on is to get your friends to join in on the fun! This class is drop-in and Flex Pass eligible. If you are unable to attend the class, we are able to process refunds up to 2 weeks before the first day of class. After that date, we can either transfer you into a different class or offer you a credit towards your account up to the first day of class. Please contact our office if you have any questions.
