Description

Tai Chi is more than exercise—it is a way of life.

In today’s fast-paced world, many of us are constantly busy, yet rarely have the opportunity to slow down and reconnect with ourselves.

Tai Chi is a mind-body practice and a form of moving meditation. Through slow, flowing movements, natural breathing, and mindful awareness, it helps release stress, restore balance, and bring us fully into the present moment.

Rooted in traditional Chinese culture, Tai Chi has evolved from an ancient martial art into one of the world’s most respected wellness practices. While it offers many physical benefits, its true value lies in cultivating harmony between body and mind.

Designed for adults of all ages and fitness levels, this class welcomes beginners as well as experienced practitioners. Beyond learning movements, participants will explore the philosophy and cultural wisdom that have made Tai Chi a timeless practice for health and well-being.

In Tai Chi, we train not only the body, but also the heart and mind.

The practice encourages qualities such as calmness, focus, compassion, humility, kindness, resilience, and meaningful connection with others. It teaches us to find strength in gentleness, clarity in stillness, and balance in everyday life.

Each class is an opportunity to relax the body, quiet the mind, and nourish the spirit.

Whether you are looking to reduce stress, improve your balance, support your overall health, or experience the richness of Chinese culture, we warmly welcome you to discover the lifelong benefits of Tai Chi.

CLASS CANCELLATION:

We find that students learn better in larger groups. If we feel the number of registrations is too low to promote a good learning environment, we may cancel the class. In the event we cancel a class, we will reach out to you as soon as possible.

TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM:

This class is offered in partnership with the Asian Arts and Culture Association. We are unable to offer tuition assistance for this class.

ADA ACCESSIBILITY & ACCOMMODATIONS:

Our classrooms are ADA accessible. Some courses may involve tasks or activities that may be difficult for individuals with limited strength, difficulty bending over, and sitting or standing for long periods of time. We are happy to work with students to find solutions to make their experience positive and doable. For example, wheel throwing takes arm strength and bending over the wheel. Students may work on hand-building projects instead of throwing. Please reach out to our office to discuss your needs.
