Description

Traditional martial arts training building confidence, discipline, and body awareness in children.

Children’s Martial Arts is a structured training program designed to help young students develop strength, coordination, focus, and confidence through traditional Chinese martial arts.

The curriculum integrates foundational Changquan (Long Fist) training, Tai Chi balance exercises, Yin Style Baguazhang stepping methods, and age-appropriate self-defense awareness. Classes emphasize discipline, body control, teamwork, and safe movement practices in a supportive learning environment.

Led by experienced instructors with traditional lineage backgrounds, the program provides children with both physical development and character-building skills.

Monthly Topic Breakdown:

Introduction & Foundations

March serves as an introduction to the program. Students are introduced to martial arts etiquette, class structure, safety guidelines, and foundational stance training. The focus is on building basic body awareness, balance, and respectful participation.

Movement & Coordination Development

April emphasizes foundational movement training, including Changquan drills, and introductory stepping patterns from Yin Style Baguazhang. Students develop coordination, stability, and controlled movement while strengthening focus and teamwork.

If you sign up the same student for both the Calligraphy Painting class and Martial Arts class is $540 for 12 weeks or $45 per class.

ADA ACCESSIBILITY & ACCOMMODATIONS:

Our classrooms are ADA accessible. Some courses may involve tasks or activities that may be difficult for individuals with limited strength, difficulty bending over, and sitting or standing for long periods of time. We are happy to work with students to find solutions to make their experience positive and doable. For example, wheel throwing takes arm strength and bending over the wheel. Students may work on hand-building projects instead of throwing. Please reach out to our office to discuss your needs.
