Each week we will learn about a photographer working in black & white photography. We will apply our own color theory to a photograph by that photographer in a painting. By learning how to paint with acrylic and getting an introduction to the history of photography, it's like getting 2 classes in one!
Using historical photographers and their work as a subject, we will complete an acrylic painting each week using a different color theory palette. Each class will introduce you to a photographer and their work. Each class will also introduce you to color theory and choices. We will learn about harmonious colors, analogous colors, triads, split-complementary colors, and so much more.

ADA ACCESSIBILITY & ACCOMMODATIONS:
Our classrooms are ADA accessible. Some courses may involve tasks or activities that may be difficult for individuals with limited strength, difficulty bending over, and sitting or standing for long periods of time. We are happy to work with students to find solutions to make their experience positive and doable. For example, wheel throwing takes arm strength and bending over the wheel. Students may work on hand-building projects instead of throwing. Please reach out to our office to discuss your needs.
